Uniform

At St Joseph’s we have a long tradition of wearing our smart blue uniform. This encourages a sense of identity and pride in our school.

All parents who accept a place at St Joseph’s must ensure their child wears the correct uniform.

You can buy logo uniform from https://www.sussexuniforms.co.uk/ Many items such as shorts and shirts can also be bought in local supermarkets.

Friends of School (our parent association) sell second-hand uniform very cheaply in March and October every year. If you need second-hand uniform at other times please contact the school office.

We have a summer uniform and a winter uniform.

September to October half-term: Summer Uniform

Parents can choose to switch to winter uniform earlier than October half term if the weather is cold.

Other Clothing & Accessories

Sun Hats

Children should wear a royal blue baseball cap bearing the school logo when required during the summer.

Hair Accessories

All hair accessories should be in school colours i.e. black, white or royal blue. No extreme haircuts, e.g., tramlines or hair dye. All children with hair below their shoulders, or in front of their eyes will be asked to tie their hair back.

Jewellery Only a watch and small ear studs (if the child has pierced ears) will be allowed. Necklaces, chains and bracelets can be dangerous both in the playground and in certain lessons. No nail polish or transfer tattoos
