A Good School Lunch

School lunches for pupils attending St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School are provided by Pioneer Catering. With an industrial kitchen located less than half a mile from the school site, Pioneer Catering are able to provide lunches that are freshly prepared and cooked on daily basis.

Producing over 500,000 children’s meals across the last 9 years has helped the Pioneer Catering team to gain a clear understanding of children’s and parents’ expectations when it comes to providing high quality, healthy school lunches.

A good school lunch consist of a substantial and healthy main meal such as a roast dinner, pasta bolognaise or curry dish, with access to fresh salad items as a complement. This is followed by a daily dessert such as flapjack, cake or mousse.

Every child registered for school lunches will receive a meal based on their individual dietary requirements including allergies or intolerances with a vegetarian alternative provided daily.
