Assessment without levels allows us to do this, therefore:-
For our writing assessment we have set objectives to help teachers determine whether a pupil has grasped certain concepts in writing, these objectives aid teachers in providing support in areas most needed for the pupil helping to provide more effective and consistent teaching for the children.
Our Maths assessment objectives provide much the same role as our writing objectives. These objectives, used as a guide, help the teacher confidently determine a pupils understanding of the different concepts of mathematics and further aids the teacher in highlighting the areas the pupil may need some extra support with their maths.
The Reading Assessment Objectives help teachers determine the reading ability and further highlight the areas in which the pupil may need extra support with their reading. These assessment objectives help maintain a consistent teaching standard for reading across the entire school for all year groups ensuring your child gets the most effective support where it is needed most.
